Question for Pokemon Platinum

How can you receive Mystery Gifts from Wireless or Nintendo on this game because I don't see the options just like another games. Do I have to beat the game first?

If you travel to jubulife and enter the T.V. Station, on the third floor there will be a man who askes for you input on the Station. You must reply EVERYONE HAPPY. When he prompts you again state, WI-FI CONNECTION. Then he will give you mystery gift.

Go to Jubilife City. Visit the Jubilife TV Station and go to the third floor. Talk to the TV Producer and he will ask for your opinion on TV. Answer the first word "Everyone" and the other one "Happy". Then he will ask you for your feedback on TV. Answer the first word "Wi-Fi" and the last one "Connection". Then save the game and turn your DS off. Now there will be the menu option "Mystery Gift". If you want to initiate the Mystery Gift, select the option and say Receive Mystery Gift and via Nintendo WFC and you should be receiving your Mystery Gift.
