Question for Pokemon Platinum

I use a nintendo DSi, how do I transfer my Pokemon from my gen 3 games (are/S/E/FR/LG)to my Pokemon platinum when there is not gba slot? Can I by some third party add-on which allows for the use of pal park? Or could I copy my save file, transfer it to a DSlite, put my Pokemon on then transfer it back?

I know the 2nd way will work even with a regular DS. I think the 1st way will work but I only think it will work. You can try the ways, though.

Scratch that, I thought Gen ||| is only compatible with Gen |V.

This always happens, and I mean ALWAYS. I believe the only way to do it is to buy a DSLite or DS. Please ignore the answer above mine. It was submitted by me but I had no idea what you were talking about.
