This does not go with Platnium but can be answered. A DSi is the new version of the Nintendo DS. It has way more capabilities than the other two. It has a bigger top screen, better sound, brighter color, camera, voice recorder, music player, messanger, internet capabilities and more. Hope this helps you out.

It also doesn't have gameboy advance slot in it so it only plays ds games
