Trees in different regions? See if that works. It seems likely.

You need to get a male and female burmy. Each gender will evolve into one form. Male is Mothim and female is Wormadam (i think).

Battle in the grass for leaf form, in caves for rock form, and inside buildings for trash form. (yuck) Lol

To get the trash burmy you battle in a building to get the sand burmy battle in the desert to get the normal burmy battle ever other place
