Question for Pokemon Pearl

I'm very close to the end and I really want to know what happens at the end, like does the game start over or do you keep playing untill you restart it yourself? I've never played Pokemon before so I don't know what normaly happens.

Well it depends what you mean by 'the end' if you're about to defeat the Pokemon league then there's still the legendarys to catch, if uve caught all the legendarys then you gotta complete the shinnoh pokedex if uve done that you can either restart it your self or keep trainig your Pokemon till there all level 100.

It only restarts when you choose to do so.

After you beat the elite 4 and complete the shinnoh dex you have many other things to keep you busy youve got more legendarys to catch and the battle tower so no the game does not restart itself on the contrary the game never really ends

Naga Sadow, give somebody a straight answer. Not a "sorry you have to figure it out youself.". If they didn't want spoilers, why did they ask the question?

After you beat the Elite Four, YOU are the new champion, although you cannot take on challengers. You get to go to the northeast island, and catch another Pokemon at the volcano, Heatran. You also get to enter the temple in Snowpoint City, where Regigigas can be found. There is also a fourth lake, called Spring Path which is home to the third dragon to go with Dialga and Palkia, Giratina. Finally, there is a boy in Canalave City who is sick, and the only cure to his illness is the Lunar Wing which is on Full Moon Island, where Cresselia lurks, waiting to be captured. However, it runs away from you, and makes you play somewhat Hide and Seek with you. After that, you can use the GTS to get more legendary Pokemon.
