Ok I've looked in the sections on this site for this game and I see people..

Question for Pokemon Pearl

Ok I've looked in the sections on this site for this game and I see people say the word "Migrate" on here. They say "put your gba game in the gba slot and migrate". What does Migrate mean?

Please explain with FULL details.

It means transfering Pokemon from your gba games (Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Fire red and Leaf green) in to Diamond or Pearl.

After you beat the E4 and get the National Dex, you can use Pal Park. It is at the end of Route 221. Before choosing to continue your game, you should see an option "Migrate from (GBA game)" and click it. You can choose up to 6 Pokemon from your PC boxes but if they know an HM, you won't be able to migrate them. Once you have chosen who you want to send over(can't send back though) continue your game and go to Pal Park(once you have visited, you can fly there directly) and talk to the worker standing at the desk. He will lead you behind the building to catch the Pokemon you sent over. There are 5 areas to find who you sent

What migrate means is that after you get the national Poke'dex can send Pokemon from Firered over to a place called Pal Park where you get a chance to catch that Pokemon. So that's what it means.
