Question for Pokemon Pearl

I have 3 questions.

1. What is the point of the Pokemon Contests?

2. Can somebody tell me what the different types of themes they mean in the Visual Contest?

3.Can you catch Palkia after you have defeated him the first time?

1. There isnt really any point, other then to win something else other then just battles. They are a challenge within themselves.
2. I think you mean smart, cute, tough, cool and beauty. Just depending on what sorts of items you have attached as well as what poffins you have fed your Pokemon it will be better or worse suited for the visual aspect of the contest.
3. Nope, you can't catch him. If fact you may want to slap yourself in the face about 100 times for 'defeating' it. If by defeating it you made it faint then that was dumb. Only other way to get one is by trading. Either through a friend or the GTS

No, david_banner, I think he means the things like "The Colorful" and "The Natural".

The point of contests is that if you beat a master rank you can get a star on your trainer card! Yipee! Anyway you cannot get palkia after you have defeated him and the visual competition is where you dress up your pokemon. You will get a different amout of hearts for different clothes.
