Question for Pokemon Pearl

I was going great untill I find this guy in mt coronet and hes blocking the way what did I miss????plz I am begging for an answer I have been stuck on this one for days....

You have to go to the Galactic Headquarter's first and beat cyrus and get the masterball.

You are really frustrated about this aren't you? Sorry if this sounds so insensitive but If you have already cleared out the Galactic HQ, then you are just going in the wrong direction. Turn around and follow the gauntlet of Grunts that are littered along the path to Spear Pillar. Maybe the Walkthrough can explain where to go better than I can, so look there as well. Hope this helps you out.
