Well, I'm thinking of a moveset for my Infernape for the future.
This is the moveset I was planning:
Aerial ace, Rock slide, Close combat, and Flare Blitz.
Close combat and flare blitz are very risky moves, I know. But I've boosted his defense, special defense, and HP to his max.
But what I was wondering is that if I should teach him any special attacks? And if so, what moves? And what moves should I keep and replace, it at all?
I'm hoping EspeonDude_ will at least answer this, but you don't have to be him to answer this.

Not exactly. The reason is kinda simple. Close Combat + Flare Blitz is suicide. Close Combat is fine, but when you have a 120 Base Powered Fire Move, which becomes 180 because of the 1.5 bonus of STAB, you're going to kill yourself, because not many things are going to survive a 180 Base move. Infernape doesn't have the best in his Defense and Special Defense either, so there's another down-side.
My personal opinion is to keep Rock Slide, and ditch Flare Blitz for either Flame Wheel or Fire Punch. Close Combat could be either Brick Break or stay as Close Combat. As long as it's for the last resort situation. Aerial Ace is not so good on Infernape. Blaziken, before Infernape rarely packed a set where it used Aerial Ace, and Infernape is just faster with a little weaker defenses, so he wouldn't use it really. I would think you can try Swords Dance, to power things up. That will also help you in getting the big KO with even a low-power move.
To your Special Attack theory - If you want. Flamethrower wouldn't be that bad, but his attack is still higher, so you should try that.
