Which is the better starter, Chimchar or Turtwig?

Question for Pokemon Pearl

Which is the better starter, Chimchar or Turtwig?

I'm thinking Chimchar for better moves, but Turtwig for better advantages.

Ok, here's a comparison for you on the Final Evolution's base stats.

Torterra:
HP: 95
Attack: 109
Defense: 105
Sp.Attack: 75
Sp.Def: 85
Speed: 56

Infernape:
HP: 76
Attack: 104
Defense: 71
Sp.Attack: 104
Sp.Def: 71
Speed: 108

So, Infernape would have a little more trouble taking hits. While Torterra has better stats. Although they still have great moves, and weaknesses at the same time, you never know what will happen. Infernape is a nice asset to the Pok�mon League. Torterra is alright for the League.

I still chose Chimchar, but I think for you, you'd like Turtwig.

I think piplup is better because it can learn ice moves.

I'd say Chimchar. It evolves at an early level, when it's an Infenape it learns awesome moves, and it's just plain awesome. Get Chimchar. Seriosly, take my advice.

Turtwigs 3rd evolved form is stronger than chimchars, but cmimchar learns way better moves.Plus, there arent many fire Pokemon in Sinnoh so I would go with chimchar
