You need to catch Palkia(pearl) or Dialga(diamond) before you can go to sunnyshore city.(plase don't ask me to go into detial because I can't remember)

PS:you have to enter Mt. Coronet from the SOUTH side which is near Hearthome city/town(cant remember).

By beating the first seven Gym Leaders and driving Team Galactic away from Spear Pillar. Then you can go to Sunnyshore City.
