Question for Pokemon Pearl

1. Can you trade with ONE DS to/from Fire Red and Ruby?
2. When you trade do some Pokemon evolve? (trading Machoke gets you Machamp)(trading Poliwhirl with King's Rock gets you Politoed)

You do not actually TRADE with the GBA games. When you put them over to Diamond/ Pearl, you can never get them back on the GBA game. What you do, is when you get the NationalDex, you put the GBA game in the slot, and save at a Pokemon Center, then on the DS you can go to a special area where you have to catch the Pokemon that were in the team on the GBA game. You can only do 6 a day.

And I do not think they evolve over this because it isnt technically a trade.

1. The trading aspect is really ruined. You don't "trade." Insted, you just send Pokemon over and don't get 'em back, 6 per day, so do it wisely. You get the National Dex and insert your Fire Red/Ruby/Whatever into the GBA, save, and go to Pal Park in the DS game. You get to catch the Pokemon in Pal Park.
2. I don't think they do.

You set your Pokemon free and you will be able to catch the evolution
