O.K. WHAT?????? Missingo????? That's not a pokemon!?!?

It is a real Pokemon, not easy to get, it's in around Victory road where a blue overall guy is blocking the way. I'm not sure about it but...if you try to hack it, it still won't work. Yep, it's really that rare

Missingno was a glitch in the original Pokemon Red & Blue games. It looked like a computer chip and appeared off the East coast of Cinibar Island. The Missingno could achieve a level above 100 and would sometimes "evolve" into a random Pokemon from the game. The Missingno could learn any attack, so the evolved Pokemon could have a strange skill set (such as a level 130 flying Kangaskan). Capturing the Misingno often caused the game to glitch up and could cause your save file to delete. The real use for the Missingno was that it was involved in an item-multiplier cheat. I do not remember the exact method, but by killing the Missingno you could duplicate an item in a specific slot in your bag so that you could have 99 Rare Candies or whatever you chose. If I recall correctly there was also a glitch where if you flew out of Safari Zone and surfed near the Missingno's area you could encounter Safari Zone Pokemon and capture them by normal means, rather than with park balls.

MegaDude's got of right over all. To my knowledge, missingno is only encounterable in the original Red, Blue, and Yellow versions. You'll need a Pokemon with Fly and Surf to do this.

1. Fly to Veridian City and talk to the Old Man who teaches you how to catch Pokemon and wath his tutorial.
2. Fly to Cinnibar Island and Surf on the east coast of the island (so where it's half land, half water).
3. Eventually, you'll encounter missingno. By either fighting it or running away, the 6th item in your bag will be multiplied to over 100.

It's not recommended to catch missingno as this could permanently fry your game. Just use it to further your conquest in the game. Have fun.

Oh and the method I described only works in Red and Blue. To encounter missingno in yellow requires a different method, but I don't remember how to do it.
