The only way you can get a Red Gyarados is to catch a shiny Gyarados. Which is very rare.

Michael answered:

Well, the only way to get a Red Gyardos, is to find a Shiny Gyardos, which I think you have a one in a 8,136 chance of actually finding one.

Hope this helps you!!!

Rayquaza24 answered:

Yes you can but it is incredibly rare as are all shinies. But if you really need a shiny, mention it on team Black Charizard and they may let you have one if you have Nintendo WFC.

~Lukie answered:

Yes, it is possible to obtain one. It is also called Shiny Garados, shinys are hard to find so be patient.

Hope this helps,
~Lukie.

ChrisMaclean answered:

Well you can catch the Red Gyrados but the chances of that are extremely small. Hope this helps you out.

GansterOnix answered:

I found a shiny staraptor I was lucky

mitsu answered:

Actually, if you own Pokemon Gold, Silver or Crystal, A red Gyarados is a catchable event pokemon. Part of the story line of these games includes team rocket forcing evolution upon magicarp, thus the Gyarados are staying red like the magicarp. Technically this is a shiny Pokemon because it is exactly the same as the regular red shiny gyarados.

Unfortunately for now, you cannot transfer Pokemon between gold/silver/crystal and Diamond/pearl.

Let us hope that the rumours of a DS re-release of Gold and Silver are true and going to happen soon, as this should still include the red gyarados event and would presumably be compatible for trade between those and D/P.

Yes it is possible to catch a red garados but it's a shiney so it's extremly rare to find and if your trying to find it then prepere for a looooooooooooonnnngg wait

deidara-rocks answered:

If you have a AR just create a new code and the code is 12068AC6 000046C0.
Then catch a gyarados

Squirrelflight answered:

Yep it's possible but exteamly rare... I found it a few times all in the same place before I caut it and that was um... In the safari in pastora city in the middle area on the right side in the biggest pool... Just keep useing the best rod you have and then it should show up eventualy but it a 1 in a 100 000 000 chance so before I caut it I was luck to see it more than once... Very lucky
