Yes. You will know when the egg is ready when the old guy outside the Daycare Center is facing to the right. Or you can talk to the guy in glasses that is inside of the Daycare Center and he will give you a Poketch APP. I shows you the two Pokemon in the center. But if you press on the APP screen it will refresh and there will be an egg in the middle of the screen.

But if your infernape is leveling in the day care and he learn new moves, he maybe will lose a good move! So be careful with that.

Yes, they will have an egg. A Ditto can breed with just about anything, except for most legendaries. When the egg has been made, the old man from the Day Care Centre will be waiting for you, and when you talk to him he will give you the newly made egg. And when it hatches it will be a Level 1 Chimchar.
