Does any one know why when you go to Pokemon.com the last couple of days a picture of Shaymin appears. Could it mean a special event to get oaks letter of Diamond or Pearl possibly?

No it's because Game Freak is making Pokemon: Platinum. That has been in development for a long time. It already came it out in Japan.
