what are EVs and IVs???

I've heard of this a lot, but I guess I just don't "study" as often as other people. So, the question is.... What are EVs and IVs??

I'm not sure what IV's are but I know what EV's are I'm pretty sure it means that you train a Pokemon with the Action Replay sorry i'f I didn't help much

Actially you need a virus called pokerus first. Then you train your Pokemon a certain way. You have to ask someone else for more details.

EV - Known as Effort Values which is obtained by defeating other Pokemon, this helps increase your stats even more by offering a bonus to them, you can use items like "Power Weight" and "Power Bracer" to increase how fast your EV rises. It is awarded to all Pokemon who help defeat their opponents. It increases faster if your opponents stat (what you are going for like HP) is very high compared to a lower stat.

IV - Individual Values are the pokemons identifiers and factor in the pokemons ability, their stats, whether they are nicknamed, their characteristic (E.g Strong Willed) and whether they hatched from an egg. How they calculate it is a mystery to me but these are what is taken into account.
