Hearthome City

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I am stuck in Hearthome City and I am unable to battle the gym leader as the man I spoke to in the gym said she would return if I visted other cities. I did this and cannot go any further without the badge from this city's gym. Can someone please tell me where I can find Fantina? I have read through help sheets and they say she is situated outside the contest hall but she is not. There is someone inside the contest hall whom I spoke to and met the requirements of Fantina's appearance but is not looking to battle or tell me who he/she is. Thanks.

Firt you have to go to pastora city and there is a team galatic member next to the saffari zone you have to talk to him and folo him though the hotel and you eventulay battle him after you folo him a while then cyinthia give you a potion to cure the pysduck's headaches then you give the necklace that cynthia gave you to her grandma in canclave city then you can go back to hearthrome city and then fantina should be there. Oh yea her guys are ghost type so and getting through her gym requires math..... Or calculator anyways good luck

Basicly what grimy seid but the necklace he's talking about is a KEY ITEM wich is actuily titled "Old Charm". I'm saying this just in case you get comfused.
