Have you completed the National Dex? This may be your problem. You need to complete the National Dex and speak to Professor Rowan. Professor Oak enters the lab and say something and leave. Then you need to head to Pal Park, one of the professors should have told you where it is.
Only then do you unlock the 'Migrate from (GBA game)' option.
If you have done this all and it still doesn't work, I have no idea what's the problem.
Sorry.
Well, the problem does not lie within your Nintendo DS, or in your Pokemon Pearl game. It seems that the problem lies in your Pokemon Ruby, Pokemon Leaf Green, and Pokemon Fire Red games. Whether something was wrong with the internal clock and that messed it up, or if it was something else, I don't know and I cannot say. Try making a saved game, and playing through one of your Gameboy Advanced Pokemon games. Take Ruby, can you play it normally when you do not try to migrate from it? If you can, then the problem might lie in your Nintendo DS. Have them checked out. Hope this helps.
? That is weird.
Really strange, I would say that you haven;t unlocked pal park yet.
If you have unlocked the pal park (by seeing all 100 sinnoh pokemon) then there is a serious glitch. Have you been using an action replay or some other cheat device? These can cause many problems such as this and others.
If not, are the Pokemon Ruby/LG/FR actual copies of the game, or did you get them on e-bay or somewhere, because in that case, they may be fakes.
Failing that, is the larger cartridge inserted firmly in the slot, is the gameboy advance cartridge slot in your DS clean and free of dirt, the older DS consoles get quite dirty as they have no cover, whereas the new ds lites have a cover. Try cleaning it out by gently blowing in the slot.
If you have tried all of these and still no good, then there is perhaps a read error for the gameboy advance slot (which may also be causing he game erases.)
Is the DS off when you insert both game cartridges? (pearl and one of the gameboy Pokemon carts) if the ds is on it wont register any games put in, and this can cause deletion or data errors in your cartridge.
If all of these fail, take your ds to be repaired because it might be faulty.
Also, I would like to add, that you have to have beaten the elite four in Pokemon ruby/sapphire/leafgreen/emerald and fire red to be able to migrate. Have you done this?
There was a battery error with Pokemon ruby and sapphire, but this shouldn't interfere with migrating.
I can't imagine why you think your game data will be erased from your cartridge if you can't migrate. This seems innacurate, I doubt it would happen, but if it is, then it is likely the game cart itself that has the problem.
Well, heres your problem;you havent completed the sinnoh pokedex,or havent beat the elite 4 yet.
There Are Only Two Reasons... Your Game Is Not Working Properly Or You haven't Completed The National Pokedex And Beaten The Pokemon League...
Short But Hopefully Helpful...
You need to have unlocked Pal Park and that's through obtaining the National Pokedex from Professor Oak. To obtain the Dex you must have seen all Pokemon of Sinnoh (excluding Darkrai, Manaphy, Giratina, Cresselia, and Regigigas). Visit Rowan's lab and show him your completed Sinnoh dex. Oak will then enter and look at your dex, then you will obtain the National Dex.
I have a similar problem. I plug the GBA cart. In, and tell it to migrate, but it always says that I've already stocked Pokemon for the day. I go to the pal park guy, and he says I don't have any!
Same here does the actual gba have to be on for a full 24 hours or what it's confusing and it's been over 2 weeks I havent migrated whats the deal plz help
Same here I have been waitin for 2 weeks and nothing it still says to wait a full day does the gba cart. Game have to be on for 24 hr or what plz help me sos
I have the exact same problam.i play the game then play Pokemon pearl and when I try to play my Pokemon gameboy game it says "the saved file has been deleted.the game can be played".and I can't migrate. Listen my friend has two game boy games one works and one dosent so our games must have something wrong.
I know this is like ... What... 4 years late? BUT I think I have the solution. Ive tried with my firered AND leafgreen and they both deleted, but I think it's in the cartridge. Look at the firered cartridge for example... Is it a clear red? Mine is grey and I think that is the problem. I was going to try with my green emerald but I'm scared it will delete :(
Well I had this prob too and it was because my GBA game was fake yours maybe fake too look at the sticker if it's shiny it's real if it's dull odds are that it's fake
Well I had the same problem with fire red. If you can easily see through the cartidge and the coulor is not mostly opaque then your game is a fake and always deletes itsself when you try to migrate. The only solution is try to refund and look for a real one
I had this problem too. But then I tried starting up my Sapphire on my DS and then the Migrate option appeared when I started Pearl again
I'm currently having this problem, but I have a legitimate Emerald cartridge (it's the proper color, the sticker is holographic, the E-rating on the front is the proper size, and no spelling errors anywhere). My Diamond will occasionally tell me I can migrate, but then gives the "save file was corrupted or missing" message; yet when I start up Emerald, the game's save file plays fine. I've beaten the Elite 4 in both games and gotten the national dex in both as well! I don't understand why Diamond keeps doing this, I'm beginning to wonder if the Diamond game isn't the one at fault.... Or maybe because the time in Emerald is off compared to the time on my DSLite?
Has anyone tried migrating their GBA game through HeartGold/SoulSilver? I'm currently trying to finish HG just for that purpose.
First thing's first, make sure you have the National Dex and make sure you can get in Pal Park. Next, make sure your GBA game isn't fake. Check the inside of the cartridge and if you can see some white writing on cartridge board, then the game is real. Whether the internal clock battery is dry or not doesn't matter. The game will still function. Go to your DS main menu, and make the start-up mode manual. Next, put the cartridges in and if both show up on the screen, then they both work. Choose Pokemon Pearl and if everything was done correctly then you should be able to migrate. Hope this helped!
I am playing platinum in my pc.
and playing emerald in android. The gba is a .zip file.
