If you want to find Pokemon fossils in Pokemon Diamond or Pokemon Pearl, then you will have to do things a little bit differently then you are probably used to from the other Pokemon games. In order to get Pokemon fossils, you first need to go to Eterna City. Once you arrive there, go into the underground man's house, which is located across from the Pokemon center. Talk to him to receive the explorer kit. After you do this, go outside and when you are on some dirt, use the item to go into the Sinnoh Underground. Now just search the walls for items by tapping your bottom screen with your finger. When you see one, dig it up by clicking on the wall. It has the chance of being a fossil. Hope this helps.
