Oh my gosh, I actually hate that I am giving you an answer to your question because it burst your bubble. :( Sorry if this is a big let down.

I cannot really explain what an Action Replay code is, I do not think that anyone can. Basically, it is a code that goes into your game and either gives you 999999 in money, or makes you find a wild Mewtwo, or whatever else that the code is designed to do. In order to enter the Action Replay codes into the game...you need a device called the Action Replay DS, you actually have to go out and buy this. Without having that device, all the codes that you have are useless, and cannot be used. The codes do whatever they are made to do. If there is a code that is made so that you encounter a wild Lucario, then the code will make you encounter a wild Lucario. If the code is designed so that you can walk through walls, then you will walk through walls. Whatever the code is designed to do is what it will do.

The Action Replay codes do not work until you activate them. In order to activate most codes that you see, you normally have to press some buttons such as the L and the R button at the same time. On the other hand, some codes are instantaneous in their activation. Forgetting about the big words, they activate as soon as you turn on the game. I hope that answers your questions...

Hope this helps.

You can enter it manually or edit the XML file.
Here is an example of an XML:

POKESAV

Pokemon Diamond
abc 1234

POKESAV generated

94000130 FCFF0000
B21C4D28 00000000
....
D2000000 00000000

You can find you XML files in you AR Folder on the C drive if you have purchased an AR. Be careful though you you screw up you can crash the AR.
You will need a program to edit the XML files like Notepad++, just google it and you can find a free one. The long code for the AR go between the and . Change the POKESAV names to what it the code is for like "ALL Berries". Please remeber to make a copy of the codelist first and edit the copy. I hope this helps.
