Shiny

Shiny

I was wondering if I put my Cyndaquil in the day care with a Ditto and I get the egg and hatch it, when it hatches, if it is shiny will it actually show me it shiny there or will I have to go to it's summary to find out? Also how many eggs would I probably have to breed for it to be shiny? Don't tell me I'm a noob, because actually I am an expert, but I just didn't know those two questions. I'm pretty sure it is like a 1 out of 8,192 battles but I don't know if it's the same for breeding. Thank You to whoever answers!

You will have to go to the summary to find out, that is the only way, You would probably have to breed 1000's, unless you get lucky and get a shiny egg on the first try. Don't worry about it. Chances are, that the people who call you, and others noobs, are noobs themselves.

Gamez_Freak answered:

It is somewhere around the number you mentioned, and it is for all encounters. Wild Pokemon, legendaries, starters, breeding, and even trainer battles. That part sucks, because the only shiny I've ever seen on this game was a meowth, and it belonged to another trainer, so I couldn't catch it. About your other question, I don't know, because I've never hatched a shiny pokemon.

You got really lucky. When it hatches, you will need to check summary, but shiny Pokemon are always different in colour than normal pokemon. No need to fret about being a noob, everybody has to ask a question some time in their life.
