Ok, how and where can you get rare candies, like is there a map of them on this site or do you have to catch a certain Pokemon, like in firered or leafgreen, you catch a meowth and get a 30% chance of getting a rare candy?

Hi! There are some hidden around... But there's an easier way to get them... There are certain Pokemon who have an ability to pick up items... They are:Meowth, zigzagoon, linoone, pachirisu, aipom, ambipom, teddiursa, phanpy & munchlax.

Anyway, when you use them in battle or just have them in your party they will randomly pick up items. (providing they are not holding any) the items they can pick up depend on what level they are. A low level Pokemon will only pick up basic items, but a higher level Pokemon will pick up much better items! There is a list of what and what level they have to be to get it, at serebii. I have included the web address for it. One of the items a medium to high-level Pokemon will pick up is rare candy... So level your Pokemon up to where it is a common thing for it to pick up, and you should be rolling in rare candy!

*Sigh* Why can't you just level up your Pokemon normally, using rare candies actually makes your Pokemon weaker than it should be. But anyways, no there is not a map of Rare candies on this site, as it is impossible to remember the locations of all the rare Candies. Meowth has a pick-up ability, if you raise a meowth to a high level, then he will pick up rare items after battles, which might include rare candies.

Rare Candies are hard to find and I've only found one in-game without an aid of of an Action Replay.

The best way is to use an Action Replay to obtain 99 and get even more when you feel like it.

Another way is to use a Pokemon with an ability to pick up items. Zigzagoon and it's Evolution linoone can randomly pick up items by just walking around. The higher level he/she is the more "advanced" the item will be. I'm sure there is more of those type Pokemon although they're the only one's I know.

Hope this helps.

Rare Candies are not easy to come by, and there isn't any trick I know of that can help you.

One thing to take note about with rare candies! Rare candies do not give you as good stats as leveling them up normally would. Say with a chansey, you gain 4-5 HP each level. With Rare Candy, it only goes up 2-4. Big drop. I compared using action replay and Blissey. One Blissey had about 700 HP, the other, not even 550. Big defference in the long run.
