Umm... Maybe you didnt save? That happened to me before. I was done playing and I thought I saved but the next time I played it I found out I didn't. Or did you trade it? If not, then I don't know what could have happened, so sorry.

Did you happen to cheat to get this shiny trapinch by any chance? Because if you did then you shouldnt be surprised, cheating messes with your game.
If you didnt cheat, you probably put it in like box 11 or something and forgot so look for it.
