Darkrai and Evolution
Can someone please tell me how to evolve your starters? I've heard a rumour that you need to have all the legendaries: I have Dialga, Cresselia and Palkia; but I don't have Darkrai and have no idea of how to get him. Any light shed on this subject would be much appreciated.

It is true that you need many legendaries before you can evolve your starter pokemon. You need to have at least Manaphy, Regigigas, and Darkrai before you can evolve your starters. However, I don't think this means you must HAVE them all...just that you must have done their event. Manaphy will recruit once you finish the Darkrai mission and Darkrai can be found in Mystic Forest 13F, Crevice Cave Deepest part B2F, or Miracle Sea B3F when you have the Enigma Part or Secret Slab in your bag. I think he can be found in more places and that he is very difficult to catch.

In order to evolve your starter,you must have beat the main story line and the extended story line. Once you have accomplished the extended story line,defeat Palkia once more and you will get it and be able to evolve but evolution depends on the starter.

Oh and you get Manaphy 5 days after you beat Darkrai. Darkrai can also be found in 4 locations. The easiest is the dungeon where you find Phione which is on the 3rd floor but it is really hard to befriend.Hope this also helps.

Here's a step-by-step walkthrough to evolve your starters.
1) You must defeat Primal Dialga.
2) Pass the Guild's Challenge.
3) Defeat Darkrai at the end of the extended story.
4) Last, you must recruit all Dialga, Palkia, and Manaphy.

Look it's easy. And one thing is the only legendary Pokemon you need to evolve is palkia. OK, first you do some random missions for about 10 days or less then you find chatot come running up to you saying, "Manaphy has returned from the sea!" and then Manaphy tells you about a new dungeon and then you can evolve, thats what I've heard try it out!

People are always saying darkrai is really hard to recruit but I managed to get him on my third try! I also managed to get jirachi and suicine on my first even though I heard it was impossible and I didn't use cheats ;)

All you have to do to evolve your starters is this: beat dialga, then carry on the story line abit until you are told you have to go to the spacial rift (can't remember what it's called exactly) go there, beat palkia, and done, then you can evolve your starter Pokemon.
If you go back to palkia and dialga, beat them both and instantly when you do theyll ask to join your team. Hope this helps
