No, you can only make Pokemon join your team by defeating them. But they might join your team. Hope this helped you!
Well Louis, it's actually called recruiting not catching. But anyway, every-so-often while defeating Pokemon in dungeons, they will want to join your team. There are alot of Pokemon that have a lower recruit rate than others. Take Gorebyss for example, their recruit rate is 'very hard' so it will be...well...very hard to recruit them. You can find the recruit rate of all 491 Pokemon in Darkness and Time in the Spin-Off Pokedex D/P on Serebii.net.
