Why Can't I Recruit Jirachi?

I have beaten Jirachi over 25 times(I've counted)and yet he still won't join me.
What's up with that? Any hints would be great

Your best bet is to keep at it. Sooner or later Jirachi will want to join. Good luck!

Try high level fire moves or a recruitment item.

Try getting a Pokemon with the IQ skill "fast friend"

It's a wee bit like Zero isle west,you can't bring items in, your best chances are what sk8rboy and darkdeoxys24 said.

You need to make sure:
- Your team leader needs to get the last hit.
- You have space in your rescue team.
- You are next to Jirachi when it is defeated
- You have the friend area Mt. Moonview.

I'm having the same problem. If this time doesn't work, I'm going to try to either use Manaphy or get the Fast Friend IQ for my Empoleon (lvl 94)
