Date of Question: May 28 2008 | Question ID: 119003

I need tips on what to do. My character is a level 60 charmander, so my attacks are not very effective. My partner is a level 60 treecko, so any fire attack kills him. Cressilia (Sp.) is always shielding me because their moves do a lot of damage. I get so annoyed when I make it to floor 13 and a Pokemon blasts flamethrower from far away and it hits and kills treecko. What should I do?

To prevent Treecko from ending your exploration, have many Reviver Seeds, and attach an item that boosts a pokemon's defence and special defence to Treecko so he may be able to survive when being hit by fire type attacks. Some Pokemon in Dark Crater have the ability Flash Fire which allows them not to be able to be hit by absolutely any fire type attacks. Those Pokemon are Growlithe, Arcanine, Ponyta, and Rapidash. Use any other type attacks to kill them. Cressilia has these 4 moves: Saveguard, Mist, Aurora Beam, and Future Sight. Make sure Cressilia uses Saveguard and Future Sight more often. Those help you out the most. Saveguard prevents all team members from getting status problems for a set ammount of turns. Future Sight is a really good Psychic type move for Cressilia to use. On most fire type Pokemon, it's only normal damage though. No point in using Mist, because you don't have any Pokemon on your team that has water type moves. In Dark Crator, there are other Pokemon than fire type. Take Hippowdon for example, they are ground type, so here's where Treeko has an advantage. But watch out, when ever there's a Hippowdon on the floor, it automatically causes a Sandstorm that causes 3 damage every few steps. For that occasion, I'd have some Oran Berries. You should also find the stairs to the next floor if you don't want to take too much damage.

I hope all this helps,
