Action replay

Hey I let my friend borrow my action replay and it worked for a while until he said that every game on it was deleted. A similar thing happened a long time ago when it was put into another friend's DS and it erased Pokemon Diamond. I could replace Pokemon Diamond the first time. But I just tried to put in a new game after everything was deleted bu when I entered the game ID, the bottom screen was flashing with red/blue stripes. Is there something I could do to fix it, or just buy a new action replay? (also I've decided that my action replay should only go in my DS because if it goes in someone elses for too long, something bad happens)

Okay this is what you need to do:
Before you turn on your ds put the action replay in and hold A+B. Then when the screen that says appears, you start holding down START+SELECT in addition to A+B so you have 4 buttons held down. Then the screen should freeze 4 a while and you can put cheats and games on it again. Thats what I did to mine when the same thing happened to me. Tell me if it doesnt work and ill try 2 help you again, but I think it should work.
(mines broken now again though and it doesnt do ANYTHING)

Or you could not use a action replay and play the game regularly instead of cheating.
