Question for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team

I went into the cave where you evolve, and gave the thing that was talking to me the only two items I had. But one of them was the HM dive, where can I find a new one?

It asked 'Will ye give item for evolution?', that means if that Pokemon needs an item to evolve then give it to your Pokemon, you don't need to give everything to it cause you will lost the item.
HM Dive can be found at 10BF of Solar Cave, Key and Pokemon that can walk on water needed.
