You have to clear the dungeon first...then go back and try again...he will join 100% no doubt!

Even though Ho-oh has a recruitment rate of 99.9%, he is not able to be recruited on you first visit to Mt. Faraway. The second time you go, he will join you.

Silver Trench has 99 floors, and Lugia is on floor 99. Lugia has a recruitment rate of 99,9%, so make sure you are wearing the Friend Bow and have enough space, and he will join your team.

The reason is that ho-Oh is not recruitable on the first try and you have to do the finnal hit when you play him next time

Clear the dungeon again, Ho-Oh will join you! He has a 99.9% Chance of recruitment.

Silver Trench has 99 Floors, with Lugia being up top.

Yes, Ho-Oh's Friend Area is Rainbow Peak. There are 99 Floors to the Silver Trench. You'll need Dive. At Floor 99, you will encounter Lugia.

P.S. When you go to the Silver Trench, bring several Reviver Seeds, Apples, and Electric Pokemon. You cannot get Lugia to join your rescue team on your first try. You have to go to the Silver Trench at least twice. Good Luck!

Well best thing is to use 1 Pokemon (2is fine as long as they are 1star in size) but you just have to keep trying it took my about 4-5times to recruit groudon so my advise is keep trying..

Silver trench is 99 floors so bring plenty of supplies

Try using the higest rank (I think luariko rank) and only bring charizard or a water pokemon(like swampert) You are right about ho-oh's friend area. By the way, Sliver Trench has 99 floors, Lugia in b99(basement 99)
