To evolve machoke you need to have a special item and use it like an elemental stone. It's pretty rare though.

Youll need a link cable -found where you got dive surf and waterfall if you already obtianed these items then it should be replaced with a link cable give it to your Pokemon when it says do you want to give your Pokemon an item to hold

1. Beat Rayquaza, go to Whiscash Pond then enter the cave. You have to get it to level 34 or something.

2. Ho-Oh is found in Mt. Faraway(you must have a Clear Feather from Spinda and beaten up the 3 Legendary Dogs),bring a key to unlock a corridor(which gives you a Friend Bow) on floor 30 and fight Ho-Oh(Floor 40) holding the Friend Bow, don't bring any friends to help, you wont get him, bring either a Water or Electric type Pokemon.

1.Machoke you can only evolve with a link cabel which you find in solar cave

2.Ho-oh is in mount. Far-away and my guess for Pokemon would be pikachu because he's electric and ho-oh is flying
