Well when you first fight him I would suggest level up to about 25+ and if your not that high a level I would suggest go to the makuhita dojo

Use ground and rock moves like rock smash and mud slap ect.

Level 21 is enough....IMO...Bring a lot of berries and food...also Graveler Rock could be usefull since Zapdos is a flying type..

In my opinion I think you should be lvl. 30 when you fight him or be lvl. 30 through 40. That is when I beat him.

Hey I beat him as a level 13-20,itmes like graveler rock are really good also TM like Bullet Seed (its awsome!) are really good at low levels.

30-40?! you guy realize he is the first boss in these games right? thats already 3rd evolution level. if you could evolve. that level should be able to oen shot zapdos!

Yeah, I beat him around level 14 or so.

I beat it at 17 as a Squirtle, level 16 partner(charmander). Use bubble twice, then change Charmander's tactic to run away, bubble again, then change it back to go after foes. This is after Zappos's came up one step. Now, Charmander will fight on the tile on your right. A few more bubbles, and Zapdos will faint. For me, I only had to use one Oran berry for Charmander, and we lost no reviver seeds.

Level 16 Squirtle and level 17 cyndaquil. All I did was use bubble twice, cyndaquil got paralyzed I spammed tail whip + Tackle(linked move) and cyndaquil spammed leer + tackle. Yay, I win. I used zero items battling zapdos.
