You CAN NOT get your recieved team and recruit them in the Makahita Dojo, actually you can't recruit ANYBODY in the dojo.I'm not so sure about your question, but either your friend forgot about battling Mew or you get his sticker if he's on the same floor as you.

You can't recruit any Pokemon in the fighting dojo

And I think your friend must of battled Mew in it's transformed status and hadn't realised he just defeated mew. Also if he looked away from the screen when he defeated Mew he might of missed Mew change back for that split second when you see it normally.

No. You can't get any Pokemon in the Makuhita Dojo from it but you can get them outside of it like in dungeons. To get Mew, if you have beaten the game, you will know that you have many other dungeons that are brand new. Go and beat Solar Cave and you will have more unlocked dungeons. Sometime after you beat it, you will get mail saying a Buried Relic has been discovered. Go talk to everybody about it and then talk to Whiscash. He will show you to Buried Relic. Go there and beat all the Regis on the 15th, 25th, and 35th floor. The parts you get from them will make the Music Box. DO NOT USE IT. IT WILL DISAPPEAR! Keep it in your inventory and Mew will appear at floors 36-99. It's a long dungeon but when you come back you could get all the Regis so it's worth it. Hope I helped.

No you can't recruit your friends team members and if your friend cleared buried relic he will get the Mew picture thing
