How do you get Groudon on your team?

Well groudon does have a -10% recruitment rate but you have got a friend bow and level 100 which brings it up to 24.9%.So really it's a 1 in 4 chance of recruiting him...Also you need to make sure you kill him with the final blow.

And with all that in place it's just a case of perseverance...



By the way I hope you remember that Groudon is a **** in size.

First go through the Magma Chamber and save at the statue in the Magma Cavern Mid. Then give Blastoise the freind bow at the Magma Chamber pit 2 and then go to the warp zone and Groudon comes out of the lava defeat Groudon if he doesn't join turn of the game and turn the game on again and continue from the Magma Chamber Mid and always give Blastoise the friend bow on Magma Chamber 2 and defeat Groudon again and again turning of the game if he doesn't join intill he joins your team.

I think you're problem may have been if you brought anyone besides 2 one star Pokemon along, that you just didn't have the room to recruit him. Just Blastoise and Raichu are OK, but if you picked up one on the way or something, you'd be technically "elegible" to recruit him, but not have the room in your party! And I think what that other answer said about saving and turning off the game might give you a bit less frustration, so try that, too, but I don't know exactly how many times you've fought him or if there were other factors like size, but it does seem pretty strange. If it wasn't a size thing, maybe you're not dealing the final blow right next to him? That's all I can think of, but I've heard he's a tough recruit, so hang in there! You're obviously a good player, maybe it's just poor timing. Try something else and come back later maybe-games are weird, this one about recruiting it seems. Some people say they have no trouble recruiting one Pokemon, while others say it's impossible! It's hard to say if you're within all the guidelines what's up. I wish I could help more, sorry! I got him on my 2nd go I was level 65 swampart with a friend bow so its just luck id say

HI I'm carter and I have all legendaries in the game all I did I brought a level 20 to him and I had 10 reviver seeds I kept fighting him he was on like 1 hit so I put on a friends bow and I attacked him and then he joined me
