By buying the pokemons friend area, then go kill some and if they join you cool if not... Tough!

At a certain point in the game, Wigglytuff will arrive and you can buy friend areas from her. If you beat a Pokemon that can live in 1 of your friend areas, it might join your rescue team.

You need to have their correct Friend Area unlocked and sometimes, after you battle them, they'll ask to join your team.

First , you must get the friend area of the Pokemon you want to recruit , note that some legendaries don't need you to have the friend area, and you must be higher level than the Pokemon you want to recruit and some legendaries need you to fight them a 2nd time even though their recruitment rate is 99.9%.

I don't know whether rank counts because the guidebook never said anything about it.And you need to have enough bodysize and team size for the Pokemon to join the team.The maximum team size is 4 , and maximum bodysize is 6
