Hey guys I was thinking about geting this game & I have a few ?

1. Yes, just hold R and move the arrows in that dirrection.
2. Yes. You don't heal over time when poisoned and after the main story mode, if you don't have the guide, it can be hard to find the after events.
3. No. You have to take a personallity quiz at the beginning. You can't really choose unless you know what the answers you need to make are for that certain pokemon.

Get the game, is is great, you can encounter every legendary Pokemon there is, and possibly get it onto your team-that's like catching them in the other games. 1)Yes, hold Right and the d-pad to move diagonally.

This is good to do as it will eat up less of the food in your belly-you need to feed the lead Pokemon in this game with apples and such to keep them going.

2)You can't trade Pokemon just Items (but you can get Wonder Mail codes to get the exclusives into your game, and just about anything else you need, too. Wonder Mail is, well, wonderful!! LOL!) Also, no AR or GS codes as of yet that I know of if you like cheat devices-no big deal, you really don't need them with Wonder Mail, and I'm an AR user.

And, I don't think there are any shiny Pokemon in this game if you're a shiny hunter. The good points well overshadow these little bad ones, though!

3)Sort of. There are 16 "starters", but you must answer a personality quiz to see which Pokemon you'll be. Chikorita, Skitty, Eevee can only be chosen if you say you are a girl, and Cyndaquil, Meowth, and Machop only if you say you're a boy, but the personality still has to match up. (For example, if you answer the questions and are determined to be "Naive" and pick girl, you'll be an Eevee, pick boy and you'll get Totodile.)

And the boy/girl thing doesn't matter in the rest of the game. You can get the exact answers to be a specific Pokemon by looking in a game guide or try looking in the walkthrough, cheats, hints sections, etc., for this game to see if someone posted it all-I'm pretty sure you'll find it somewhere. And you get a choice of partners based on your main character, but not all will be able to be your partner-like Skitty can only be a leader, not a partner.

This is probably the most complicated part of the game-LOL! Seriously, just ask for help if you can't seem to get the one you want-you can always keep trying by resetting though.
