There are many friend areas, even new ones, for you to buy and recruit Pokemon in there. TTEAAMMM POOKEEDDUUUDEEESSSSS!!!!!!!!

If you're still wondering, what you need to do is to go to Wigglytuff's stand and go through the friend areas to see which ones you need for which Pokemon-it should tell you if you have encountered it in the game what it's friend area is if you can get it at this time. Some you need to buy from Wigglytuff, some you get as rewards for missions, some other ways, but you automatically have the ones for your starter & partner. Once you have the right friend area, go into the dungeon where the Pokemon you want is and proceed to defeat it with the team leader ONLY and within a 1 tile range (next to it), then sometimes it will ask if it can join your team; you can accept and it'll join you right away. Of course you need room for it in your party-4 is the max, so you can only get one if you go in with 3 Pokemon, or 2 if you go in with 2, etc. As long as you make it out of the dungeon with it "alive", it will be waiting in the friend area for whenever you want to have it join your team for a mission. Giving it an Oran Berry might help it not to faint before you get out. The higher your level and team ranking, the easier it will be to recruit others. You get to the friend areas by going to the left outside your team base, it'll give you a list of your recruits, and you just pick one to visit, talk to it to get a menu to get it to join your team for any mission you want. Hope this explains the process well enough. An easy starter would be to get the Thunder Meadow friend area from Wigglytuff, then go to the 4th and 5th floors of Thunderwave Cave, and get yourself a Minun-they're easily recruited, especially at your level, and you don't have to go too far either.
