Umm well I think meowth, pikachu, and or treeko are good but probly pikachu cause he effective against most
Depends on your preference really.
Mt. Blaze can be tricky. Just train your Pokemon up in the dungeon. Don't bring any items so if you faint, you won't lose them all. Once you reach about level 20 for both of them, you should be ready to beat moltres.
I think charmander he comes in handy later on!
I think Mudkip is the best. Him and a pikachu. Took me three times without a guide to get him. Now, however, I have one and helped my friend get the one he wanted
I say Cubone because it can learn flame thorwer and ice beam
id say meowth and either bulbasaur, pikachu, or cyndaquil because meowth can use all types of moves and the other three all have an attack that stops the enemy from attacking for a while withch is good in bossfights
Can someone help me get Cubone?
to be cubone be lonely
I'd say that Mudkip(with ice-beam) and a fire type (with flametrower) to make an efficiant team, but Articuno might be a bit of a problem for Mudkip
i chose machop as it learns great fighting moves
No offense but cyndaquil is probably the worst Pokemon starter and partner as it learns great moves in late levels eg swift is learnt at lvl 45. And I think lava plume is learn at lvl 90 but mudkip rules
I was mudkip with torchic and in 6hrs of game time I was on groudon
But when I used to be you're team I owned moltres and the dungeon but had truble on mt freeze
But level up I dungeon
A good tactic to use on moltres is stat lowering
Like mudkip use mud slap
It wont do much but it will lower the boss's accuracy making the birds attacks possibly missing you
And therefore you wont waste reviver seeds
And bring a max elixir just in case mud slap runs out and the bird still hits you
Yo me I have all Pokemon starter and all the legendary but not mewtow he is at 99 florr to long
Psycokaw is god because he have the atk pychut up and that drain power of the enemy that is realy good. But pikachu is the best because you kill bird Pokemon like moltres-articuno-zapdos-ho-oh-rayquaza mine is at lv100 and it is easy to kill ex: hooh in one shot
I used Cyndaquil and Chikorita. With a little bit of leveling up I went through the entire fugitives part using minimum VERY MINIMUM like 2 reviver seeds the whole way through. Wen It came to Groudon I beat the entire dungeon without dying or using any reviver seeds. I was about level 26 with each Chikorita and Cyndaquil, then sky tower was hecka easy. With onix on my team we killed a monster house there and only lost like, 2 reviver seeds. And during the Raquaza fight I had Chikorita learn attract through a TM and had my Cyndaquil using smokescreen alot. Throughout the entire Rayquaza battle he inflicted only 16 damage total throughout the whole fight. I'm still on the after story part but I' telling you, Cyndaquil and Chikorita is a GOOD pair of starters!
I think that Eevee and Pikachu are the best. ( It doesn't matter which one you are as long as Eevee has shadow ball learned.) All you need for those two is
Eevee-Shadow Ball, Quick Attack, Bite, and Screech
Pikachu- Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Thunder and that one ranged electric move. ( Can't Remeber the name)
My friend did the 2 person dungeon thing where you close your ds and come back with items and I was able to get the TM's I needed. I was also able to go through the whole game in 3 days. If you cannot get those moves, Chikorita as second (Not You) and Charmander/Squirtle are best. (Bulbasaur is weak to Physic because of the Poison Side) (For me Treeko cannot get some of the heavier grass moves because of speed) All other fire/water starter's are fine but evolved forms don't look as cool later!!
Your all wrong THE BEST IS WOOT HERE IT COMES SQUIRTLE AS YOU AND CHARMANDER AS PARTNER
Your all wrong THE BEST IS SQUIRTLE AS YOU AND CHARMANDER AS PARTNER
I think eevee, meowth or even skitty would be a good choice since they are normal types there are not much types that are super effective plus eevee can evolve into many Pokemon and when meowth evolves it actually has great speed and power skitty knows the move mimic which comes in handy when fighting dragon types like rayquaza. I beat the game with all three of these starters even though it took me a while to figure out their strong points but if you are good enough you can easily win with then
No pick either cubone or machop because yo can recruit all strters later on in hr came search for those caves on googe, waterfall pond etc.
I have a level 100 torchic and bulbasour and they are pretty effective I also got absol and leveled him up to 100 as well they all can kill most things in one hit :-)
Mudkip would be good against moltres and zapdos because hes a water/ground......oh and groudon
I know no who is best Mudkip as leader charmander as partner mudkip for zapdos and moltres and charmander for arcituno and both for groundon and rayquaza
I beat the game with Skitty and Mudkip so I think they are the best.
Skitty. Just use sing/attract/it's natural ability on tough foes. Bosses can't even HIT you. I am a skitty and partner a treeko, and now a Delcatty and grovyle. I OWN with my team.
Cubone and Pikachu or Charmander and Squirtle
I at Sky tower with team 1 in 6 hours and beat the game with team 2 in 6 and a half hours
Im a piplup and my partner is a phanpy and I've finished the game. I would recomend them!
I think pikachu would be a good starter but I don't know how to get him
I think the best Pokemon starter is cyndaquil and totodile because they are very handy..and their last evolution is epic ...!! Typlhosion and feraglatr .. They learn really great moves and theyre very strong in battles like cyndaquil versus ice, bug, grass, steel, psychic, dark, ghost, dragon and totodile versus fire, ground, dragon, rock, and more.. If your versing any of those Pokemon type you would most likely to win it..so that is why totodile and cyndaquil is the best..I also think cubone and machop is good..
I say it's charmandera nd chikorita or cubone and pikachu over-train with them and level as high as you can if you get bored just go in the dungeon and clear if you over-level boss fights are really fun/enjoyable
I think charmarder because charzid learns heat wave which is great for moster houses
I think the best starter is psyduck because he or she learns great moves.
I deafeted the game with cubone and chikorita they are also a good team because cubone can learn bonemerang and chikorita can learn razor leaf so if you conbind them it's really good plus because cubone is a ground type it can help chikorita on moltress and chikorita can help cubone with gengar so they are the best team also there evolves are really good even though cubone's evole is small it's still really good!
I think pikachu and mudkip because pikachu is for aoes
And mudkip is for the weakness of pikachu
I Think The Best Pokemon is skitty/any normal type because she/he learns great moves plus she gets to articuno.Her/him And Either A Fire Or Water type better belive it there really good! And plus normal types like skitty she lears attract and sing also normal types are affective against alot they can have a wide reange of partners aswell.
I think cubone and charmander ore a fire tipe because charmander effects lots
I say squirtle is the best starter with pikachu they are unstoppable and grass, ground, rock, flying
Normal, water, ice, dark fall way to easy this is there moveset squirtle=ice beam, brick break, water pulse and bubble pikachu's moveset needs some work but here it is slam, thundershock, shockwave
And thunder bolt squirtle is great but pikachu needs some more work but the are super efective against almost anything
Ok I think one should be pikachu because dischange and machop/cubone
Bulbasaur and squirtle! Why? Because I owned with Zigzagoon too and won WITHOUT anything just vine whip,
Water gun and headbutt!
I beat the game with physduck and charmander. I evoled them both and owned. I taught golduck dive and charmeleon flamethrower. I love them.
I would say cubone and squirtle because moltrests is easy , cubone is ground and zapdose is also easy , and for the after game blastois learns protect and let me say, that got me out of a lot of trouble. But I'm not saying the other starters are bad it's just the types of the Pokemon depend
The first time I beat the game, I was Treecko, with Charmander as a partner. The were really well, beating everything with little difficulty, except for Moltres (that took a couple tries). Just level up you and your partner by doing tons of missions beforehand to get the needed expreience.
A thing for me, though, is that...
If you get a Grass, pick Fire as a partner, and vice versa.
If you get a Water, pick Electric as a partner, and vice versa.
With those two types they can pretty much balance out the whole game.
If you get Normal...I don't know, pick any partner.
Machop...maybe Pikachu.
Cubone...I'd say Water, or Grass.
I hope I helped.
I think, personally, because it worked for me, Meotwth, Since it's a normal type and the move like scratch will do around 1.4 more dmg than an ordinary tackle. Partner, I guess it would be charmander since it can learn heat wave at lvl 1 (Charizard) and Earthquake. Be careful of earthquake, it is VERY powerful.
I think Psyduck is the best starter because it can learn disable and paraylze the legendary so you don't take that much damage when battling them
Pikachu is actually really good, but Charmander is beast, after he becomes Charizard you get Heat Wave which just breezes throughout monster houses. Also learns smokescreen which comes in handy as whiffer is a sure-miss stat. I usually pair Charmander with a grass type I chose Bulbasaur for Sleep Powder, but his stats aren't good later. Treecko is really good too, Agility is an overpowered move in this game just triple agility and get someone with a status inducer and you'll win any boss fight easily, bullet seed is pretty tough too.
charmander and squirtle are the best for the beginning you must be squirtle his type is jolly it's te easyst to begin xd
I think you should use a mudkip and treeko because youll only have a problem with articuno but thats alright because I've beaten it on first try zapdos moltres and articuno are easy and so is groudon and kyoger + they take care of literally everything in the game so mudkip and treeko by the Pokemon master
I think Mudkip and charamander because when there fully evolved mudkip can use earthquake an d charizard can learn heat wave monster house dead three seconds
I started the game and I think the best is charmander as a leader (later charizard fire-fly) and mudkip (later swampert water-ground) «----- they are the best
:D :D :D
I picked Mudkip and Torchic. So far, it's good... But I lost once on Silent Chasm ^.^'
I'm a charmander and I have aa bulbasaur partner and I picked my game up a couple of days ago and I'm on groudon
Id definitely say cubone and preferably a water or grass type, cubone cos defence is high, learns amazing moves such as boomerang which on a high level like 95 or so would deal from 700-950 damamge on any Pokemon! It also hits twice so thats double. And a water or grass type to balance out the team so your partner can fight whatever you are weak against
I have beaten the game twice with Eevee/Pikachu and Totodile/Charmander. With Eevee/Pikachu it took me some time getting used to the dungeons, types etc. Because it was my first try. But as Eevee it might come in handy when battleing Team Meanies since it is immune, but I don't remember since it is so many years since I played it with Eevee. But Pikachu should be warned for the ground types.
Totodile/Charmander is amazing. With them on there (or most water/fire) there should not be much trouble. And Totodile that have only two weaknesses should be doing good too, if not put Charmander in front. When Charmander evolves into Charazard there can be a little problem about the weakness, but hopefully it will do fine.
Now I'm trying with Cubone and Treecko, I know Cubone got growl and tailwhip in the start but later it can learn powerful moves. And Treecko learns agility. Agility will sure be helpful when playing the game.
I think Absol would be great if you could be him/her there has to be a code for him/her so you can be him/her.
I think it's charmander or skitty .in my opinion cause I beat mount blaze with those and beat the gameplus skitty gets this move called asist that gets ya to use sombody elses move. I once battled a legendary and I used one of it's epic moves because of assist but charmander turns to charizardSpoiler:
I think cyndaquil is pretty good because it learns smokescreen which is pretty good for legendaries and my partner is a squirtle which is awesome too
I was a pikachu and had mudkip as a partner and I totally pwned the game because if I encounter a ground type mudkip is effective with a water move.and whilst it's still mudkip electric does damage but with fighting moves like brick break it's easy.but always chose your partner by your weakness eg.charmanders weak to water so use grass or pikachu to counter it.And anyways pikachu as you or partner is great as the birds go down easy and so does rayquaza(not as easy though).long story short pikachu is always good and if not,go for type matchups
Machop and pikchu are boss
Pik can help you with flying pokes
Machop is powerful as all hell
Ok Ok.Everyone knows that Mudkip+Cyndaquil is the best team! They are the accuracy depleting duo! Nobody can hit them! (If you chose the right moves)
And Mudkip's endeavor is great against legendaries!!
Well I began with Cydaquil and my partner Chikorita and we got to Rayquaza... I beat the game in 2days. So I think they are the best...
I was a Cyndaquil with my partner Chikorita. We got to Rayquaza but when we fainted and we went back Shuppet kept using Curse so be careful... But Meowth rocks! He gets Scratch which deals more damage than Tackle. Plus when he evolves he's really fast. I was Meowth with my partner as Pikachu and within 2hours I beat the game! I did this combination several times. And it works. Trust me!!!! Groundon took me two try's because of Pikachu... But excuse Meowth is a normal type he can cover Pikachu! Hope this helped!
I have charmander as you and squirtle as partner so you wont have any trouble for any of the games bosses until you beat the game then you get charizard fire flying and blastoise which has high defense
The Pokemon I recommend is Eevee (for you) and a Cyndaquil(as partner). The only problem is with Eevee is that it takes a while to get to the Hill Of The Ancients. The worst Pokemon (no offence) are: Bulbasaur, Treeko, and Cubone. Cubone 'cos he's the HARDEST Pokemon to play as (the moves he knows at first is growl and tail whip). Though Cubone can learn flamethrower and ice beam. When Eevee can evolve sevolve it into Espeon, Flareon, Jolteon or Umbreon(THE BESHT!). Cyndaquil can learn smokescreen, wich is a really helpful move for bosses.
Machop as the main Pokemon, and squirtle. Squirtle is to be used later in the game otherwise you can't go to stormy sea, silver trench, etc. Machop is really powerful.
I find that it doesn't really matter what starter and partner you have, so long as your level is higher, or at least the same, as the Pokemon in the dungeon your currently in/about to go in.
I got Bulbasaur and picked Squirtle as my partner and what I did was constantly go on missions rather than instantly go to the dungeons in the main storyline in order to level up. I'd battle every Pokemon I could find and get as many oran berries, reviver seeds and max elixers as I could (believe me, you'll need these three items the most!) before doing things that further the storyline (e.g. Talking to whiscash asbout the ninetails legend).
So long as your level is high enough, regardless of what Pokemon you choose, beating every dungeon will be a cinch! Of course, having a good moveset is also a big contributing factor. Especially status moves like attract, make sure you get that TM and use it on boss battles and keep using it when it wears off!!!
The first few times I played the game, I died EVERY SINGLE TIME when I went up against the Legendary Bird Trio, and again when I finally got past them and fought Groudon. I lost every one of my reviver seeds, no matter how many of them I brought into the dungeon.
But when I tried leveling up my Pokemon before going into the Fugitive Arc and fighting Groudon, it was almost too easy! I barely used any of my reviver seeds during the whole game, and I didn't die AT ALL going through Mt. Blaze, despite having a type disadvantage in Bulbasaur.
So, the simple solution to this is not choosing and arguing over which Pokemon is the best choice for yourself and your starter, but LEVEL. Leveling is the key!!

I think that mudkip and torchik are the best for starter because when they evolve they become water+ground type and blakzine`s fire and fight type
Yes Eevee, lucario, skitty and Mewtwo legendary are good starters
I used eevee as main and mudkip as second and they were good. I had no problems. I'm keeping eevee unevolved and she's lv 54 now. I just love her as she is and couldn't decide what to evolve her into anyway... And I didn't evolve mudkip either, they will be original forever. They are cute like that. Also, I like eevee is normal type so has no special weakness. She's my strongest one.
Honestly I have Meowth and Cyndaquil and the only reason I am stuc at Sky Tower is Shuppets in the walls but Meowth is good. Personally, I would maybe go with Tododile and Charimander, or Meowth and Tododile.
I would say that Mudkip/Charmander are a great team.Either way is fine as they can both cover each other.😀
Pikachu, because there's a lot of flying type bosses and charmander to deal with skarmory
