Is that supposed to be a question?

You caught a shiny pokemon. They are EXTREMELY rare. Their stats, abilities, and moves are the sames their regular counterparts. They have a 1 in 8192 chance of appearing (or hatching from an egg). The Masuda Method can increase the odds of hatching a shiny, and the Pokeradar of DPPt can increase the chances of finding wild shiny Pokemon.

If you evolve your Magikarp, it will evolve into a shiny Gyarados. The Red Gyarados at the Lake of Rage is shiny. Because shiny Gyarados are so common (must be fought in EVERY HG and SS game), I suggest either keeping the Magikarp as a trophy or trading it for something extremely good. This is one of the few times trading a Magikarp for a Tyranitar or Manaphy isn't weird.
