Question for Pokemon Heart Gold

When you have to get into the lighthouse in Olivine City, I can get to the top room but I can't get into that little area or whatever where the lady is taking care of the sick pokemon. Also about that area, when I call ethan he tells me to bring an ampharos to the lighthouse and that it will be bright. I don't know what that means but can anybody please help me?! Thx, in advance ;)

After you defeat the Cianwood City Gym Leader, you can receive a Special Potion from the person in the Medicine Building in Cianwood City. You must bring this Potion to Ampharos in the Lighthouse.

To get to the top of the Lighthouse, you must work your way through the inside and outside of the Lighthouse. You can get to the outside of the Lighthouse by falling out of windows. Once you heal the Pokemon at the Top of the Lighthouse, you can battle the Olivine City Gym Leader.

Thanks for answering, but I have already beaten that gym leader and in the pharmacy I never got any medicine. Is it a glitch or something?

Here's what I did. I started a neww game just in case it was a glitch, but it did the same thing. Immediately after winning against the Cianwood City gym leader I went diirectly to the pharmacy to get the medicine but the guy didnt give me it. I have been to the lighthouse before this and now am at the pharmacy. Please help!! Smile Thx in advance!
