How do you get shiny starter Pokemon?

It's really just pure luck as far as starter Pokemon go. There is no way to increase your chances outside of using an Action Replay. If you can't get a shiny starter Pokemon the first time, I suggest cutting off the game, and trying again. Repeat until you receive a shiny starter. Though, be warned, you could be doing this for near days on end before your luck plays out.

Yes, and even then, you may get a disappointing nature, or even bad IVs... Etc.

Another way is to breed your starter with a ditto, but with that you end up with like 1,000 starters before you get the shiny starter... Or worse, 100,000,000,000 !!!!! OMG I could not breed that many. Or can I ?

Hmmm.... The best way to obtain a shiny is exactly the action replay but it is very, very, very, very, very, very, very dificult. I too am trying to obtain a shiny starter, four days trying and nothing. Good luck.

OMG just soft reset a whole bunch until you get it might take like 3 times or 1,000 times.

I have tries over 500 times for maybe 3 days already after a while you can't tell a shiny chikorita from a regular one because you get so tired but the pay out is worth it

Its easy. Start your game and go to prof. Elms lab. Waik in front of the machine with the 3 poke balls. Save your game. Then go in the machine and see if the Pokemon you want is shiny. If not, then just soft reset by pressing L+R+start+select. I got a shiny female cyndaquil on my 3rd try

Soft resetting is the best thing to do, in my experience. LR + LL + START/SHIFT, is how to do a soft reset, if you weren't sure how to. It might take a few tries, I would recommend saving right before you try to snatch your shiny starter, in my experience, all starters become shiny, that way it's fair for players.
