On the Pokedex, when you click a Pokemon's area...

What is the difference between a red flashing light and a yellow one. I want to know because I'm looking for an Absol. I've checked the areas they are in and coulden't find it. Does the red mean Rock Smash or Headbutt? Also where can I find a Pineco in the game?

im not positive but i think the yellow is a wide area and the red is a more common area (or the other way around i know what you are talking about but i havent played for a long time if i remember correctly the yellow is along a route but the red is just a dot.)

to get a pine co it depends on what level you want it (and with that where you are in the game). for a higher level u should go to route 26-27 and use head butt. not all trees will have pokemon but most of them will. and pineco takes a bit to appear
