Nothing really happens when you get all the plates. They are just for use to change Arceus to any type of Pokemon. You can find the all plates in the Sinnoh Undergroud or following locations:

Splash - Route 219

Dread - Lost Tower

Sky - Bottom of Waterfall at Pokemon League.

All other plates you can find that information via this website link:

Nothing really special happens. They're really not worth it, only one Pokemon can make use out of those plates, and that happens to be Arceus. Depending on the type of plate that Arceus holds can change it's type. Example: if you have Arceus hold the Draco Plate, it will change to a Dragon type.

You can get all the plates by digging them up in the Sinnoh underground, but they are quite rare to run into. Most of the plates are found around Sinnoh, though.

For help on where to find some plates, go to this page on serebii:

And for the record, there are 17 plates in total, as there are 17 Pokemon types, so look carefully.

I can't help you when it comes to finding them, but I do know you get the dread plate either in or around the ghost mansion or whatever it's called in the eterna forest and another plate behind the statue coming out of eterna city...but when you get plates and get an arceus, give one of the plates to arceus and you will change it's type...(i.e give it a draco plate and it's type turns to dragon...)

david_banner answered:

They are pretty much scattered all over sinnoh, and found randomly in the sinnoh underground. They really do nothing, whether you have one or 17 of them. They are really only functional if you have arceus, which you cannot get without cheating at the moment. If you make arceus hold one plate, he will become that type and his best move, judgement, will be of that type as well.

shriekmaw answered:

Draco plate: can be found only in the underground
Dread plate: old chateau
Earth plate: orebourgh gate
Fist plate: route 215
Flame plate: can be found only in the underground
Icicle plate: a house on route 217
Insect plate: can be found only in the underground
Mind plate: solaceon ruins fourth floor
Splash plate: route 220
Spooky plate: at amity square in Hearthome city
Stone plate: can be found only in the underground
Zap plate: can be found only in the underground

And I don't think anything happens when you have them all

Hope it helped
