Question for Pokemon Diamond
OK...I got past the guy in victory road, and I realized what I had to do to get past him, but...there is a polished rock at the end of route 224. What exactly is that for?

It's for Shaymin. An event Pokemon. Once you get Oak's Letter from an event (or Action Replay) Prof. Oak tells you to carve something there. Then Shaymin appears.

Well, Route 224 is typically useless, unless you cheat OR go to a Nintendo Event, which are only in Japan for now, to obtain the "Oak's Letter". With this, Oak will be waiting by that White Rock, and after a bit of talk, a path will extend beyond Route 224 behind that white rock that leads to Flower Paradise, where you can catch the level 30 Shaymin.

You must have a eevee for that because when eevee level up near that polished rock he evolling into a glaceon

Get mystery gift get oaks letter from oak then go back there hope I helped

I believe you get shaymin there. But first you have to get oaks letter which has not been given out by nintendo yet. You have to wait for the Nintendo event.

The shiny rock is for oaks letter you use it a path will appear follow the path.

That rock at the end of route 224 is the place where you can unlock the Shaymin event when you use a cheating devise. If you do unlock the Shaymin event, Shaymin is at level 30.
