Question for Pokemon Diamond
I am trying to trade my Latios from my emerald gamepak to my copy of diamond.
When I went to the move deleter in Lilycove city (emerald) to remove 'HM surf' the move deleter said my latios was reluctant to forget that move. Now it can't migrate to diamond, because it knows a HM (which it won't forget)
I had traded Latios to my emerald gamepak from my Ruby gamepak.
What can I do? How do I get it to forget the HM? Does anyone know what has happened?

This is really weird. I swear, this has happened to so many people, but never me. And I trade between my games all the time >_>
Try trading it back into Ruby, and having it forget the move there? Or is Surf the only move it knows? If so, then teach it another move and THEN have him forget it.

Just a guess, but I bet that latios is the only Pokemon on the game pack that knows surf, try teaching it to a junk Pokemon, then try again

It means that he wont forget surf. You have to get a new one to migrate now.

I have read a lot of answers to this and. This is how you get him to Migrate. Delete all his moves he has except for Surf and another move. Put another Pokemon in your party that also knows the move Surf. Now go to the move deleter and I bet he forget Surf this time around.
It is funny and weird. I had the same problem with my Kyogre but I just though it through and I did what I told you and now my Kyogre dominates on My DS & Wii.

Hi, Thanks for all your answers!
The answer that worked for me was that: yes, it was the only Pokemon on my game that knew surf, and so I taught it to another pokemon.
It worked! It forgot the move instantly! Yay, now it lives in sinnoh, and thankyou!
