There is a grip claw in there and two tms. Earhquake and something else there is also gible (dragon pokemon). Thats all thats in there.

The purpose is to find a little girl and escort her out of the cave
Once you beat the Pokemon league you can multi battle with her at the battle tower

To meet Mira and help her get to the entrance so that you can possibly pair up with her in the Double Battles at the Battle Tower.
Also, the basement of Wayward Cave contains some wild Gible, AND TM26 Earthquake.

There is no large purpose of the cave. But if you go to the back of the cave and escort a pink-haired girl named Mira back to the entrance, she can join you at the Battle Tower.

Nothing much, but it's the only place where you can find a Gible, a Pokemon that evolves into a Garchomp, a good Dragon-type Pokemon- in my opinion.

You need to beat the elite for 7 times in a row then talk to rowan hell give you a emrald then go to were you found the girl and poof a legedairy pok'e.
This may only work for the japanese version.
