Question for Pokemon Diamond

I'm new here
Does anyone know how to get poketch thing where you can track down Mesprit. My friend told me you get it from the poketch president ut it doesn't work.

Should I have Azlef and Uxie in my team?

I believe you need 3 badges. Talk to the president, and he'll give you the Marker Map.

If not 3, get 5 badges, then try again.

After getting your 3rd badge, he gives you the Marking Map app for your poketch. Using that is how you track Mesprit. You don't necessarily need to have Uxie or Azelf on your team to catch Mesprit although, it would help make him easier to catch it you have someone around it's level with high Speed so you can chip away it's health

I believe your talking about the app Marking Map. You get it once you get the fifth badge. Then go talk to the president on your way to Canalave City.

See which one has better stats. I chose Azelf.

Azelf Lv.75 Item: Mind Plate
Psychic
Extrasensory
Flamethrower
Thunderbolt
