Victory Road is not hard at all. All you need is Strength, Rock Smash, Surf, and Waterfall. What I did was I went everywhere I could. If I found a dead end, I just went a different way.
The Elite 4 is a high level group. Aaron is the first person. He has bug type Pokemon except for one. His Drapion(his strongest) is poison-dark. All you need for him is a fire type that knows a ground type move. Next is Bertha, a ground type trainer. Two of her Pokemon are water and ground. So all you need for her is a strong grass type. The next person is Flint who is a fire type trainer. However, 3 of his Pokemon are not fire types. Use a Lv 65+ Water type against him. The last person in the E4 is Lucian, a psychic type trainer. You'll need a strong dark or ghost Pokemon to beat him. Oh, and you'll need your fire type to. I'm suggesting Weavile. For the Champion, You'll need two other pokemon(that don't matter). She doesn't focus on one type. Good Luck!!!

For getting through the Victory Road, just do what the guy above me said.

As for the Elite Four, f you wanna do it the lazy way (Or the way I did it, it just seemed lazy to me), just bring about 2 Pokemon that are 60+ or so. I had Empoleon and Palkia (Yes I'm in the Diamond Q&A when I own Pearl, sue me :P ). Maybe one or two decent 50+, and the rest about 40+/-, and buy about 30 Revives and 30 Hyper Potions (Maybe a few Full Heals, but in this game the Elite Four doesn't really focus on status conditions, so buy maybe 4 or 5). About 5 Max Ethers/Elixirs or Ethers/Elixirs would really help on getting those low PP, powerful moves back so you can use them a lot more often.

I beat the E4 without much move variety (You still want some though), except on my Palkia. The only major Pokes you'll have trouble on is one on the Psychic-type guy (forgot what he was called but he was a Steel/Psychic type), and maybe Cynthia's Milotic if you don't know what you are doing. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT use Special Attacks on Milotic, because it has Mirror Coat which inflicts double the damage you did to Milotic if you hit it with a Special Attack. Stick to Physical Attacks ONLY! Her other Pokes are pretty much 1 or 2 hit-able.

Good luck!
