Question for Pokemon Diamond
For Magby/Elekid(or any other Pokemon that can only be captured via insertion) to appear in their respective routes, do you have to have Fire Red/Leaf Green in there at the time for the Magby/Elekid to appear? Or can you just have it in once, then save, and you can find them in their routes? Please answer soon!

Magby, Elekid, Gligar, Teddiursa, etc. Are located for the duration of the insertion of the outside means, or in simple words, as long as you have the cartridge in there, it will be there, and when you take it out, it will disappear.

You HAVE to have the game cartridge in for the Pokemon to appear. Of course you can ALSO go get a Hauntar or Gengar in the Old Chateau in Eterna Forest. They show up no matter what game is inserted.
